What we publish
The site has two connected parts. The index tracks pocket knives and multi-tools using a common set of fields: dimensions, weight, materials, blade information, lock, opening method, carry configuration, origin, warranty and source date. The guide library explains how to use those facts when making an ordinary utility or everyday-carry decision.
We focus on legal cutting, work, outdoor and maintenance uses. We do not position knives as personal-protection tools, publish combat guidance or encourage unsafe testing. Readers are responsible for checking current laws with an official local authority before buying or carrying any knife.
What “independent” means here
Pocket Knife World is not a knife manufacturer, dealer or marketplace. Product inclusion is not an endorsement. Manufacturers do not pay to enter the index or approve our editorial explanations. Product names and credited images remain the property of their respective owners.
The site may display advertising through Google AdSense. Advertising supports publication, but advertisers do not select products for coverage, see an article before publication or receive favorable treatment. If future affiliate relationships or supplied samples affect a page, the relationship will be disclosed prominently on that page.
Who writes the site
Content is published by the Pocket Knife World Editorial Desk. The catalog uses automation to discover manufacturer pages, normalize labels and regenerate static profiles; evergreen guides and editorial rules are maintained as publication-owned content. Automation is a tool, not evidence: an item is eligible for publication only when a qualifying primary source supports it, and missing facts remain missing.
We do not claim hands-on testing unless a page clearly describes the test method, sample source and conditions. Most product profiles are source-based specification analyses, which is stated directly on each profile.
