Pocket Knife World does not offer user accounts, comments, purchases or a mailing-list form. The interactive comparison feature stores the identifiers of knives you select in your browser’s local storage under the key pkw-compare. That selection remains on your device until you clear the comparison or browser data; it is not sent to us as an account profile.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard request logs such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, referring page, timestamp and error information. These logs support security, availability and troubleshooting. Remote font files may be requested from Google Fonts, which can receive request information under Google’s own terms.
If you email us, we receive the address, message and any information you choose to include. Do not send sensitive personal data. We use correspondence to answer the request, review corrections, handle rights concerns or maintain a record of a relevant editorial decision.
Google Analytics
Pocket Knife World uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, such as page visits, sessions, approximate location, and browser or device information. Google Analytics may use first-party identifiers such as the _ga cookie to distinguish visitors and sessions. Local comparison data remains on your device. Hosting logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s operational and security schedule. Google Analytics data is retained according to the settings configured for our Analytics property and Google’s applicable policies. Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the request, editorial record, legal obligation or defense of rights.
We do not sell a reader list. Information may be processed by service providers that host or secure the site, deliver fonts, provide audience measurement, or provide advertising. It may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a legitimate transfer of the site, subject to applicable requirements.
Children and international visitors
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent personal information to us, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
